n8 & Bett’s House Update 4

WE HAVE MOVED IN!

On Saturday, 17 November, we finally got to move all of our things into our house.  n8 spent most of the week before skipping sleep and installing the carpet pieces from Mom and Dad (Addink).  On Saturday, about 20 people from church came and moved our entire storage unit (the size of a single car garage stall, filled top to bottom) from the storage unit and into our house.  It took about 3 hours or so.  Then another family from church blessed us by emptying boxes, organizing things, and filling cupboards.  We finally got to stay over night in our new house Sunday night.

We still  have quite far to go… the kitchen is unpacked, and the kids’ clothes are all unpacked into their drawers.  As for the rest of our things, we need to put up A LOT of shelves, a couple doors, a lot of trim, find which carefully labeled box contains our bedroom curtains, remove scraps of carpet and find a place to store them… just in case we need them for something… and add more storage to our closets before we can unpack the rest of the boxes.  It also might be nice to get the basement apartment finished so our friend Jesse can move down there and feel like he has his own space… or at least his own bathroom with its own storage and hooks for all of his things.

We will post pictures… later, once we take them and get our computer set up in our new place.  And get Internet access.

Mom, you were right!

Mom has always said that we kids gave her gray hairs. Now I believe her. This morning, I found a GRAY HAIR! It was about 4 inches long, light gray, and rough in texture. I couldn’t believe it! Good thing those little boys are so cute or I would break down and cry. Cindy
